MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT
Dear colleagues,

After the outstanding success of the  previous conferences on various themes of Ayurvedic medicines, fundamental and clinical applications which was  attended by eminent scientists from  India and abroad, the theme of this conference is focused to invite eminent scientists in the fields of botany, agriculture, forestry and horticulture to discuss the preservation of our herbal heritage which on the verge of extinct due to commercial exploitation  and deforestation without preservation in its natural habitat. I invite each and every individual who is directly or indirectly involved in the  cultivation, propagation, export and manufacturing herbal medicines using these resources for a discussion with policy makers and other stakeholders  of herbal medicine development under one umbrella at Chennai.

The conference aims to provide many interesting perspectives on how science and technology look at Medicinal plants and drug discovery from medicinal plants and its clinical application, organized farming on medicinal plants  to maintain the quality control and assurance of the products generated from them, preservation of endangered species, preservation of medicinal plants in their natural habitat,harvesting,preservation through value added drug intermediates etc.through plenary sessions, invited  lectures, free oral and poster presentations.
One day pre conference workshop on quality control and assurance will be held in the medicinal plants farm owned by Cholayil group for students, practitioners and research scientists in the filed of medicinal plant boatany,phytochemistry and pharmacology by academic and industrial scientists
