The organizers have instituted a written prize paper/ poster competition for UG/PG/Research students of Botany, ISM, Agriculture, Life sciences, Forestry
Oral / Poster Scientific session Topics
- Conservation of medicinal plants – past, present and future
- Issues and problems with medicinal plants in clinical practice of ISM
- Identification of medicinal plants – a scientific approach
- Qualitative and quantitative methods to identify phyto-constituents of therapeutic importance.
- Pre clinical pharmacological & toxicological screening of phytochemicalsls for biological activity.
- Propagation, farming, conservation of endangered species and agriculture technology for large scale production of Indian medicinal plants.
Three PRIZES have been instituted for the oral and Poster presentations separately. For oral presentation First prize carries a cash award of Rs.4000/- and a citation, second prize carries Rs.2500/- and a citation and 3rd prize carries Rs.1500/- and a citation. For poster presentation First prize carries a cash award of Rs.2000/- and a citation, second prize carries Rs.1500/- and a citation and 3rd prize carries Rs.1000/- and a citation.
The contestant should submit their written prize paper / Poster through their guide/ Head of the institution to prove their student identity
Instruction for authors of oral and Poster presentations
Organizers are inviting original research papers / posters to be presented in the oral/poster sessions of the conference from registered delegates.
- Should be neatly typed with suitable space (Double space, Font- Times New Roman, size 12) with not more than 15 pages in A4 paper
- The organization of the manuscript is as follows,
- Title of the paper
- Author (s) with affiliation
- Abstract of the paper
- Introduction
- Subject matter with appropriate sub titles
- Summary
- Conclusion
- References
- Acknowledgments
The size of the poster should not exceed 120 (cms) height and 90 (cms) width. All posters must be written in English. The contents of the poster must be readable from a distance of at least 1.5 meters.
All abstracts must be original and unpublished work of the authors. Abstracts must be written in English and should not exceed 300 words. The abstract should include title (14 pt, Bold, Upper case, Times New Roman) author (s) (12 pt, low case, bold, Arial). The name of the presenting author should be underlined.
Note:
1. Two copy of manuscript (soft copy) of abstract and full paper should be submitted as details given above to the co-coordinator on or before 05/11/2009 and 05-01-2010, respectively.
2. Only registered delegates will be permitted to present and participate in the scientific session and oral/ poster presentation. The time and venue details will be put in the conference notice board at 8.30 A.m on 13-2-1010 and 14-02-1010.
3. The selection of paper for oral/poster presentation is vested with the scientific committee. However the participant can mark his/her choice of presentation in the appropriate column in the registration form
Important Dates
1. The abstract must be received by November 10, 2009.
2. Notification of acceptance of presentation will be sent to the author by December 10, 2009,
3. Last date to submit full paper is 05-01-2010.
Late submission of papers will be summarily rejected. |
