First International Congress - Ayurveda 2000

The First International Congress (ICA-2000) held at Chennai on 28,29 & 30 January 2000 had attracted over 2500 Ayurvedic Scholars from not only within India but also abroad. Inaugurated by the Hon'ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of India under the patronship of Her Excellency, the Governor of Tamilnadu, the Congress had the distinction of providing 40 lectures and 250 paper presentations. The lectures covered subjects on Ayurveda, Phytochemistry and Phytopharmacology.

HONOURING THE MEDICAL FRETERNITY OF AYURVEDA AND ALLOPATHY

 

Herbal Exhibition that was exhibited more than 300 species of Medicinal plants along with the information on them was an attraction of this congress and similar exhibition also being planned with more species in the IAC – 2005 congress.
